Godzilla 2000 is bringing the HEAT! 🔥 Today on The Monster Report, we’re taking a look at the HIYA Toys Exquisite Basic Godzilla 2000: Millennium Heat Ray Godzilla! Standing approximately 7 inches / 18 cm tall, this figure captures Godzilla in one of his most iconic Millennium-era moments — unleashing that distinctive orange heat ray from Godzilla 2000: Millennium! And there is a LOT to appreciate here. From the incredibly detailed reptilian skin texture and aged-looking teeth and claws, to those spectacular translucent orange-red dorsal fins, HIYA has packed an impressive amount of detail into this figure. The figure also features extensive articulation, interchangeable hands, an articulated tongue, and the centerpiece of the entire release — that fiery Heat Ray effect! But there’s one articulation feature that really impressed me: the neck. The head and neck can be positioned to follow the direction of the heat ray, allowing you to create some incredibly dynamic poses and make Godzilla look like he’s actually tracking his target with his atomic breath! And while this isn’t the Burning Millennium Godzilla from Godzilla Fest II: Shinjuku Burning, I couldn’t help but see some similarities in those fiery orange fins and the overall appearance.
